	The NICEIC is an independent electrical safety regulator and consumer body set up in 1956 to protect electricity users from unsafe installations. NICEIC Approved Contractors and Domestic Installers meet national safety standards and comply with building regulations.
	Why use an NICEIC Approved Contractor? Work is carried out to the national safety standard BS 7671. Customers get an electrical installation certificate confirming that the work meets the national safety standard. Approved contractors are periodically assessed. Work is covered by a Guarantee of Standards scheme and complaints resolution service.
