Inspection & Testing Insulation
starts to age as soon as it's made. As it ages, its insulating performance deteriorates, which could become dangerous if left
unnoticed. This is why it is important for installations to be checked periodically. An Electrical Periodic Report is an inspection
and testing service that we carry out consisting of a visual inspection and test of the electrical installation in the property.
A percentage of electrical accessories are opened up and visually checked. We then issue an NIC EIC Periodic Inspection Report
which any items found that do not meet current regulations are highlighted and any works that are required to bring the installation
up to current standards can be identified. A Periodic Inspection Report should be carried out every 5 years in rented accommodation
and at the change of occupancy.

hand drills and power-tools require inspection and testing. All appliance must be tested by law. Regular inspection and
testing protects you as an employer and your employees. During testing all appliances are issued with a unique number.
After inspection & testing has been carried out, a pass or fail label will be applied to the appliance, which will then
be dated & signed. Finally a signed certificate of conformance will be issued for proof of compliance with to the
Electricity at Work Regulations (1989)

Emergency Lighting Testing The purpose
of emergency lighting testing is to ensure that emergency lights remain fully functional (for the specified duration) during
mains electrical failure and that all lighting and exit signs are up to date with current legislation and are adequate for
the purpose intended. BS5266 recommends that emergency lighting systems be regularly serviced, this ensures that emergency
lighting systems remain reliable at all times and that in the event of an emergency or power failure, the emergency lighting
operates, ensuring that people can safely evacuate the building.

Fire Alarm Systems Testing Fire alarm
testing is extremely important as these systems should give enough warning to save lives and buy fire fighters enough time
to limit property damage. Periodic testing backed up by regular user checks will ensure that the system is always protecting
people and property. Periodic fire alarm testing is a requirement for a local authority fire certificate. The sensitivity
of detectors on a poorly maintained or neglected fire alarm system may result in the system not going into alarm condition
should a fire develop, which could be deadly.
